The people of Thompson United Methodist Church have been in ministry for almost 190 years. Today we worship God through songs, prayer, and preaching, in our 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning service. We offer a mix of contemporary worship songs and old favorite hymns. An open invitation to prayer for any need is given during worship. At 9 a.m. we host Sunday school classes for children, youth, and adults. On any given Sunday you fill find children's sermons, special music, and exciting events announced. We celebrate holy communion on the first Sunday of the month. As our service reads, "Christ our Lord invites to his table all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another."
Thompson Church believes we should live our faith, share our faith, and serve. Our ministries page shows some of the ways that we do these things. We are glad to receive prayer requests and are interested in visiting the sick or shut-in in our community.
Youth and children are important to us. Young people can and should be nurtured to have a real and saving faith in Jesus and taught to live pure lives. We offer youth ministries and children's ministries to help families in this task.
Everyone is welcome to worship with us and hear the Good News of Christ. We hope you will join us in worship, fellowship and study.
